I got this book because I like to follow the automotive industry, rather than because I am a BMW fan. Reading "Driven" was both enjoyable and frustrating...the story is told reasonably well, although it drags a bit in its description of BMW stylists in Chapter 5, for example. But the missing link to me was the lack of followup in some topics.

This is a great book with many stunning photographs. There are lots of rare and old BMWs featured, and each one is represented with multiple photographs, including large photos spanning two pages. A really great book for the price. Informative text in three languages.

f you are (or are considering becoming) a home mechanic whowants to work on your own car, this is the essential volume - farbetter than Chilton or Haynes because it's much more specialized. Ifyou'd rather pay a professional for a particular job (or foreverything needed on your car), this book will give you the knowledgeyou need to not get fleeced.

This is a Haynes manual - they're good. They're far better than the Chilton's versions, which tend to cover every model made during a 10 year period in one book

Essential Buyer's Guide

The books claim to address the M52 and M62 engines. Not a word about the subassemblies of either engine(the biggest part of an engine) The same information seems to be repeated in several places in the book. Gives the impression they are trying to make up volume.

This book was EXACTLY what I needed to do routine maintenance and certain select modifications. BMW wanted almost $200 for an oil change - one change and this manual paid for itself! Well written and complete - I couldn't be more pleased.

this book is publised in 2002. i bought this book because i wanted a guide on how to proceed further in Bikes world. it has lot of good pictures of BMW bikes

This book is written by Fred Larimer, it was published in the year 2002. This book helped me a lot in gaining information on what to look while purchasing a BMW. very informative
